About Alcatraz Island
Alcatraz is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. All access is by Alcatraz City Cruises, the National Park Service’s contracted ferry, from Alcatraz Landing at Pier 33. There is no parking at the landing, so take the Muni F Line or walk along the Embarcadero, and book tickets well ahead.
