About Fort Funston
Fort Funston’s 200-foot bluffs, on the far western edge of San Francisco, are among the country’s best hang-gliding spots. Paved loop trails, wheelchair accessible, run along the top, and it is a favourite of dog walkers. The walk down to the beach and back is steep, and the surf and undertow are extremely dangerous, so keep children close.
