About Mount Tamalpais State Park
Mount Tamalpais rises over Marin, with views back to San Francisco. At East Peak there is a visitor centre, staffed by volunteers on most weekends, and the accessible Verna Dunshee Trail, about three-quarters of a mile around the peak. Parking at East Peak has a fee. The Matt Davis Spur Trail off Laurel Avenue is permanently closed.
