About San Francisco Botanical Garden

The San Francisco Botanical Garden opened in 1940 and covers 55 acres of Golden Gate Park, with more than 8,000 kinds of plants from around the world. The foggy climate suits the cloud-forest gardens from the Andes and Mesoamerica, and there is a grove of coast redwoods and a garden of California natives. In winter, the Lightscape night trail is ticketed separately.

Opening hours, prices and seasonal openings change, so please check with San Francisco Botanical Garden before you go.
